Friends we know to  Sir Jamini Roy a great Indian art master of  Pure Indian Painting . when British royal academy of art was started western art education system in  Indian by their Indian art collages . In that time many Indian Artists or art students were regain to that academic art education of Royal academy of art  London . It was tuff job for them  but they did that because they are committed for his /her Pure  Indian art .

In that committed  listed artists I read to very first great masters late sir Jamini Roy . He was very simple person in his life or he was very much committed for pure  Bangal Art ( we are calling to that today traditional Indian art of Bangal School . )  I read it in my art education / subject  History of Indian Art when I was in Master ( P.G. ) class in Rajasthan School of Art  Jaipur , Rajasthan . kind  your information Rajasthan School of Art was branch of Royal Academy of Art London .

When I was reading to artist Jamini Roy  I felt how much he was committed for his Bangal School art and He  was not wanted to change to form or mood of his art commitment.  That was only for his Bangal School of art . Master Jamini Roy was leaved to academic art education or art collage and he came back in his own studio and started his traditional Bangal art  . He was selected art medium paper and water color or his work size was not very much big, He sold his art work in very low coast  to his art buyers or art collectors of INDIAN ART. It was live example of his commitment for protection and promotion of his pure  Bangal art. So I salute  To Him or his Folk art painting work commitment .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am recalling this past story because that same art commitment nature ,  I am seeing in nature of Matheran artist  Dr. Mulchand Mahatma ( He is doctor in his matheran  Art  according  to word “Doctor” of Dictionary - Oxford university  )

Matheran Artist  Dr .Mulchand Mahatma  Bikaner is busy in his matheran painting work to last 40 years . He did not joined to any academic art institute for his art education , Because he did not want to go far to his family art that is matheran art .  In his family  His father  and his big brother were his teacher and guide or by that guide line he got masters and doctorate in his matheran art of Bikaner. At present  this Matheran Art is listed in traditional art or in folk art but in reality it is pure Indian art or it is in safe zone  because Dr. Mulchand mahatma is busy in it with his strong  commitment. . Dr. Mulchand Mahatma is live full time busy in his Matheran Art work,  his home is his art studio , In art studio he is painting all kind of items or elements of Matheran Art for our city Bikaner or for our INDIAN art too. It can’t possible  without a strong commitment . it is fact . Dr. Mulchand Mahatma is not compromise with time and conditions  just like great art master of Indian art  sir  Jamini Roy .

Sir Jamini Roy was tried to explorer to Bangal Art and he wanted to review Bangal Art In India or he was done that by his strong Art commitment . That same think is in nature of Dr. Mulchand mahatma  , he is painting to sculpture of  Gangour , paper painting ( just like Jamini Roy ) for easy collection in low cost , he is painting or retouching to wall painting of Matheran Art in temples of Bikaner.

I can say without matheran or that’s items Bikaneri folk and tradition is not get completeness or for this completeness bikaneri folk and tradition is need strong commitment from a folk  or traditional artist , this commitment  have one and only  Dr. Mulchand Mahatma  matheran Artist of Bikaner ..

So I am looking in him the nature , vision and a strong commitment  of Late Sir Jamini Roy .

Note _ Sir Jamini Roy art works of Bangal Art is in collection of national Gallery Of Modern art New Delhi India ( Registered in Govt of INDIA )   or  the art work of Dr. Mulchand Mahtma , his Matheran  art is in collection of folk of Bikaner but not registered or in collection of Govt. Of  INDIA . ) it is critical  point about  protection of Matheran art of Bikaner /  Historical Indian art or that’s Artists .  

So  here I write for Dr. Mulchand Mahatma  ..His  Commitment is like commitment of Sir Jamini Roy ..
