"Kot Jewar" Village / Jaipur: A Travelogue – Part 5

Two days after March 11th, officials from the Handicrafts Skill Development Department (New Delhi) and the Handicrafts Service Centre (Jaipur) arrived at the Pawan Blue Art Pottery Centre in Kot Jewar to inspect the ongoing Blue Pottery training workshop. The delegation included officials Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Sajjan Chaudhary, accompanied by Mr. Kaushal Satyarthi, Manager of the Manav Seva Trust.

While evaluating the training camp, they engaged in discussions with the artisans, the Craft Master—Mr. Lalaram Prajapat—and myself, seeking information regarding the creative activities being undertaken at the camp. Furthermore, they observed the products created during the Blue Pottery workshop and offered words of encouragement to all the artisans. Official Mr. Naveen Kumar also asked me, "Are you facing any difficulties regarding your stay at Craft Master Mr. Lalaram Prajapat's residence? Are they providing you with food and refreshments on time?" In response, I informed him that I am actually staying in Jaipur, not in Kot Jewar. I commute daily from Jaipur to Kot Jewar. As for food, I eat only once a day—in the evening—and I consume a meal prepared without onion or garlic, which I obtain from the "Bikaner Walon Ka Basa" (a lodging facility for people from Bikaner) in Jaipur. Therefore, there are absolutely no issues regarding food for me, nor for Mr. Lalaram Prajapat. As for tea, I have cut down on my consumption these days; nevertheless, they still kindly serve me—along with everyone else—a nice cup of home-brewed tea twice a day. For this, I extend my sincere gratitude to them. Both officials expressed their satisfaction with the work accomplished during the 10 to 15 days of the training camp. Coincidentally, that very day also marked the final day of another training camp being conducted right next to the Pawan Blue Art Pottery Centre's workshop. So, we all attended the closing ceremony of that Blue Pottery training camp. The camera and documentary crew from Lucknow Doordarshan had also arrived there to film a documentary on the training camp; the benefit of this was that some live footage of our own training sessions was also incorporated into that documentary!

On that day, Mr. Kaushal Satyarthi—the manager of the Manav Seva Trust, who had accompanied the officials—was impressed by my conversation and working methodology. Handing me his visiting card, he said, "Please get in touch later whenever you find the time. We will collaborate on further projects together." I saved his mobile number in my own phone as well. After that formal inspection activity concluded, Mr. Kaushal Satyarthi departed along with the officials, Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Sajjan Chaudhary. While they were conducting their inspection, my fellow artisans and I took photographs with them—images that now serve as an official record for all of us!

At 2:00 PM, my "pilot" (the motorcycle rider giving me a lift) dropped me off at Kot Mod. Today, for the first time at Kot Mod, I managed to catch a bus—not the usual "DM" bus, but one following a similar route—which took me to Bagru and dropped me off there. From Bagru, I caught another bus that dropped me at Sindhi Camp, and from there, I made my way to Hotel Rama. At Hotel Rama, over a cup of tea costing 20 rupees, I attended to my reporting duties and shared updates; after taking a brief rest, I resumed my sketching work, having purchased a new black gel pen and a sketchbook from the market. Although I couldn't find a sketchbook containing proper drawing sheets in the Polo Victory area, I decided to make do with the one I did find and continue my work regardless. After all, the medium itself has never been a hindrance to my artistic expression.

Today, just before entering the Bhairu Nath Eatery at Hotel Rajhans, I ran into my junior (a BFA Painting student from Bikaner) and the future proprietor of Hotel Rajhans—Master Shriram Upadhyay. We engaged in a lengthy discussion regarding art, self-expression, and potential new creative projects; it was a delightful experience for me, and for Master Shriram Upadhyay, it proved to be a conversation that sparked a sense of self-realization. After that lengthy discussion on art, I had my meal and returned to the Rama Hotel, where I promptly fell asleep, for my eyes were heavy with exhaustion and a lingering need for rest.

Two days into the training camp, I had the opportunity to speak with master craftsmen Master Kalu (Lakhhan Nat) and Master Ram Swaroop (Swaroop Ram Nath), as well as senior female artisan Mrs. Lali Devi. Over tea, Kalu asked me, "Sir, will I ever be able to walk again?" In response, I shared videos of the Paralympic Games for differently-abled athletes with him via my mobile phone. Showing him the footage, I said, "Look at this running event—there are many athletes here who are missing both legs, yet they are sprinting at full speed!" I then shared a video of my Uncle Dilip, which had been sent to me by his younger daughter, Minna. Watching those videos rekindled a sense of hope and self-belief within the young man. I told him, "Your prosthetic leg will be fitted only after the doctor gives the go-ahead." In the meantime, I immediately called Mr. Kaushal Satyarthi, the manager of the Manav Seva Trust, and requested that he arrange a pair of crutches for Master Lakhhan. Taking immediate action, Mr. Satyarthi replied, "Please send me a photograph of Master Lakhhan, his disability certificate, and a copy of his Aadhaar card; I will arrange for the crutches within a day or two." Witnessing this prompt action deepened Kalu's emotional trust in me; in his eyes—and in his silence—I perceived a profound sense of affection and gratitude toward me. I told him, "One day, you will come to pick me up at the 'Kot Mor' intersection—riding your very own motorcycle!" I urged him, "Just hold onto your courage, patience, and faith in life. Everything will be alright; this difficult phase, too, shall pass."

Meanwhile, Ram Swaroop Nath—an accomplished craftsman—shared his thoughts. For the past 15 to 20 years, he has been creating intricate botanical designs for Blue Pottery in the Kot Jewar region. He voiced his concerns, asking, "Sir, tell me—what tangible benefit does this training offer us? I produce 15 to 20 pieces (Blue Pottery products) daily while working on a contract basis, and I earn a daily income of 800 to 1,000 rupees." "For these 25 days of the camp, I have left my regular job to dedicate my time here from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM—essentially giving up my entire day—for which I will receive 300 rupees per day, totaling 7,500 rupees for the full 25 days! Now, what good is that? It won't even cover my basic household expenses!" He further suggested that if a craftsman were to receive at least his full daily wage—which stands at 1,000 rupees—then we would be truly motivated to devote our hearts to this work and remain engaged with this camp. In that craftsman's words, I sensed not merely a concern for money, but rather the deeper resonance of life's inherent hardships—and his sentiments were undeniably true.

Nevertheless, I pointed out to him that the benefits of this camp are substantial. Firstly, you have now become a government-registered artisan. Furthermore, having acquired proficiency in this craft, you could potentially launch your own independent Blue Pottery enterprise in the future. Moreover, through the simplified and accessible design techniques I am imparting during this camp, you can break free from complex, traditional methods; this will save you time, enable you to produce a greater volume of Blue Pottery items, and thereby create opportunities to earn significantly more income.

While this conversation was still underway, a senior female artisan, Mrs. Lali Devi, interjected: "Sir, my husband used to own his own Blue Pottery workshop right here in this village, but he has passed away, and consequently, his entire operation has shut down. I have a 20-year-old son, and aside from the little bit of Blue Pottery work I know, our household is currently surviving solely on a pension—it is a real struggle." In response, I handed her the business card given to me by Kaushal Satyarthi of the *Manav Seva Trust* (Human Service Trust), telling her: "Please speak with him once this camp concludes; he will surely be able to help you find a path toward a stable, sustainable source of income."

That day, the weather was overcast and humid. Consequently, the task of applying the glaze coating to the products being created at the training camp could not be carried out. It was then that I truly realized how even the weather itself can pose significant obstacles to the practice of this intricate craft. I also pondered the sheer complexity of this craft—a task where even the weather poses an obstacle—and wondered: will this form of traditional artistry be able to endure for much longer? Given the breakneck pace of modern life, will the new generation possess the patience required to sustain such traditions? I continued to mull over these and many other questions. Just then, the 1:30 PM tea arrived for all the artisans; true to my request, I received a half-cup serving. I drank it, and then, after signing the attendance register at 2:00 PM, I headed back to Kot Mod with my guide.

Today, a driver of a route-service jeep—who was heading past Kot Mod toward Boraj—recognized me. Calling out loudly, he said, "Sir, come along with me to Boraj today! Take a look around Boraj, and on the return trip, I’ll drop you off at Bagru." What would you call this? A display of genuine warmth and friendly banter! Incidentally, one day while riding in his jeep, I had asked him how he manages to make ends meet on fares of just 10 or 20 rupees. He simply replied, "It’s just enough to get by—what else can one do, Sir?"

Anyway, a motorcyclist dropped me off at Mahlan. From Mahlan, I reached Bagru via another jeep, and from Bagru, I caught a direct bus to Sindhi Camp; eventually—making my way like this—I arrived at Rama Hotel. By this time, twenty days of my Jaipur Blue Pottery training camp had been completed.

The next day, upon reaching Kot Jewar, I found Master Mukesh Prajapat preparing the glaze solution under the guidance of the craft master, Shri Lalaram Prajapat. It was a sunny day, so there was ample sunlight and sufficient airflow to help the Blue Pottery products dry. We managed to complete the glazing work, but then a new problem arose: the gas cylinder needed for the kiln. Master Mukesh asked, "How will the products created during the camp get fired without gas?" I suggested, "We should inform the officials at the Indian Institute of Crafts." I posted about the gas cylinder issue on the WhatsApp group created by the Indian Institute of Crafts. Within the next day or two, the matter was resolved by the official, Shri Dharmendra Singh, who successfully arranged for a gas cylinder for the kiln. However, due to this fuel-related hurdle, the Blue Pottery products created during the training camp could only be retrieved from the kiln the day *after* the camp's conclusion—once the kiln had cooled down. This delay was caused by a combination of weather conditions and fuel supply issues. Nevertheless, it was a matter of great satisfaction that—after the firing process was complete—all the products we had crafted during those twenty-five days of the Blue Pottery training camp emerged from the kiln safe and sound.

The Jaipur Blue Pottery training camp at Kot Jewar officially concluded on March 24, 2026. On that day, along with the Training Camp Manager from the Indian Institute of Crafts—Ms. Rashmi Parikh—and the Camp Coordinator, Shri Dharmendra Singh, a group of thirty students from the School of Arts at Kathmandu University, Nepal, also attended the closing ceremony. They observed and gained an understanding of the Blue Pottery production process, and even tried their own hands at molding a few products using the molds. They were particularly eager to see the actual Blue Pottery pieces that had been created during the training camp; however, those pieces were still enclosed inside the hot kiln. So, using my mobile screen, I showed them a sequential series of photographs depicting all the products and their intricate creation process; seeing these, they were not only impressed but their curiosity was piqued even further!

Subsequently, the coordinators from the School of Arts at Kathmandu University, Nepal—the visiting delegation—presented Craft Master Shri Lalaram Prajapat and me with a framed copy of their college logo design, which had been crafted right there at their college. Along with this, they also gifted us a handmade notebook and a pen.

Officially, the Jaipur Blue Pottery training camp at Kot Jewar, Jaipur (2026), concluded that very day in the presence of officials from the Indian Institute of Crafts. However, for me, the work regarding the training camp remained unfinished. I finally brought it to completion the following day, arriving at Kot Jewar at 11:00 AM. I reached Kot Jewar on March 25th, having traveled from Kot Mod aboard a tractor, as Master Mukesh Prajapat and Master Ramniwas Prajapat had both called to inform me: "Sir, please come today at 11:00 AM; we will open the kiln at 12:00 PM, once it has cooled down."

I instructed them not to open the kiln until I had arrived at their studio, explaining that I intended to begin photographing through the kiln's "window"—a small aperture through which one can observe the blue pottery products as they fire inside. I had previously captured similar photographs while the products created during the training camp were being placed into the kiln. Both of them patiently waited for me and granted me every opportunity to take photographs exactly as I had envisioned. I began clicking away, capturing a sequential series of some 50 to 70 photographs—documenting each individual product—and, true to my vision, every single item emerged from the kiln perfectly fired. I witnessed this same sense of elation on the face of Craft Master Shri Lalaram Prajapat, as well as on the faces of both his sons. Those moments were truly gratifying for me, for we had successfully achieved the ultimate objective of the Jaipur Blue Pottery training camp: the successful firing of every single product created during the camp. I also incorporated red silk threads into some of the artificial jewelry pieces to enhance their authentic appearance; this worked out exactly as I had envisioned. It proved to be a successful experiment—not only for the Jaipur Blue Pottery but for the artificial jewelry as well!

On the 25th, Mr. Lalaram Prajapat and his two sons drove me in their car and saw me off all the way to Bagru. I expressed my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to them, and also congratulated them on the successful conclusion of the training camp. From there, I proceeded directly to the Rama Hotel; after resting for a while, I headed to the Indian Institute of Crafts in Jhalana, Jaipur, to hand over the photographs I had compiled on my mobile device to Mr. Dharmendra Singh. At the Institute, Mr. Dharmendra transferred approximately 2 GB of photo data from my pen drive to his PC; while thanking me, he expressed his desire for me to remain associated with the Indian Institute of Crafts.

Having enrolled at the Indian Institute of Crafts for the very first time, I had undertaken the task of conducting this Blue Pottery training camp. On March 25, 2026—as I transferred the photographic data documenting the completion of the Blue Pottery training camp to the Institute's PC and stepped out of the premises—I officially marked the conclusion of my work on the Jaipur Blue Pottery training camp! Through my unwavering efforts and a spirit of deep dedication, I had now officially become a 'National Designer' under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. In doing so, I offered my faithful contribution—as a humble servant of the nation—towards the noble task of nation-building! Jai Hind!

The following morning, I booked a bus ticket for Bikaner and boarded the bus at 3:00 PM. Before doing so, however, I deemed it appropriate to pay a visit to the Jaipur Blue Pottery Craft Master, Shri Anil Doraya. Thus, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, I visited his showroom—the 'Jaipur Blue Pottery Art Centre'—located on Amer Road. We engaged in a heartfelt conversation and exchanged intimate experiences. He remarked, "I have been following your daily reports from 'Kot Jewar'; it gave me immense pleasure to see that you went there and carried out this work." The ninth generation of Shri Anil Doraya's family is currently engaged in this craft of Blue Pottery; notably, a young member of his family—who had topped his class in the Science stream—has chosen to return and dedicate himself once again to his ancestral craft: Jaipur Blue Pottery. Treating me like a son, he showered me with immense affection and bestowed his blessings upon me. He also invited me to join him for a meal; politely promising to accept his invitation another time, I took my leave. Catching the scheduled bus for Bikaner—which departed right on time—I traveled to Bikaner and subsequently reached home on the night of March 26, 2026, at 11:00 PM.

Thus concludes the travelogue of my journey to the village of "Kot Jewar." There remains much more to be written and told, which I shall endeavor to share at a later date. For now, I am setting out on my next journey—tonight. Friends, is my life perhaps turning into that of a wanderer? Do let me know!

कोट जेवर में दिनांक 11 मार्च के दो दिन बाद हस्तशिल्पी कौशल विकास विभाग नई दिल्ली और हस्तशिल्पी सेवा केंद्र जयपुर के अधिकारी पवन ब्लू आर्ट पॉटरी सेण्टर पर जहाँ चल रहे हमारे ब्लू पॉटरी के प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला का निरिक्षण करने को आये ! जिनमे अधिकारी नवीन कुमार जी और अधिकारी सज्जन चौधरी जी के साथ मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट के प्रबंधक श्री कौशल सत्यार्थी भी रहे !

आप ने प्रशिक्षण शिविर का मूल्याङ्कन करते हुए हस्त शिल्पियों से , क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी से और मुझ से भी चर्चा की और शिविर में हो रहे रचनात्मक कार्यो के बारे में जानकारी ली ! साथ ही ब्लू पॉटरी के शिविर में बने उत्पादों का भी अवलोकन करते हुए सभी हस्त शिल्पियों का उत्साह वर्धन भी किया ! अधिकारी श्री नवीन कुमार जी ने मुझ से ये भी पूछा की क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी के यहाँ रहने में आप को कोई परेशानी तो नहीं है ना ? ये आप को समय पर खाना पीना भी उपलब्ध करवा रहे है ना ? तो प्रतिउत्तर में मैंने उन्हें जानकारी दी की मैं जयपुर में ही रुका हूँ कोट जेवर में नहीं ! प्रति दिन जयपुर से कोट जेवर आना जाना कर रहा हूँ ! और खाना मैं दिन में एक समय ही श्याम के समय में लेता हूँ वो भी बिना प्याज लहसुन का जो मुझे बीकानेर वालों के बासे से उपलब्ध होता है जयपुर में , सो कोई भी परेशानी नहीं है खाने की मेरे लिए और न ही श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी के लिए ! रही चाय की बात वो भी मैंने इन दिनों कम कर रखी है फिर भी ये दो बार सभी के साथ मुझे अच्छी घर की चाय पीला ही देते है ! सो इनका साधुवाद भी है ! दोनों अधिकारी गण प्रशिक्षण शिविर में हुए 10 से 15 दिन के कार्य से संतुष्ट हुए ! उसी दिन पवन ब्लू आर्ट पॉटरी सेण्टर के प्रशिक्षण शिविर के बगल में ही चल रहे एक और प्रशिक्षण शिविर का भी अंतिम दिन था ! सो हम सब वहाँ भी उपस्थित हुए समापन अवसर पर उस ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर में , वहाँ लखनऊ दूरदर्शन की कैमरा और डोकॉमेंट्री टीम भी आयी हुई थी प्रशिक्षण शिविर की डोकॉमेंट्री बनाने को जिसका लाभ ये हुआ की हमारे प्रशिक्षण शिविर के भी कुछ लाइव अंश उस डोकॉमेंट्री में संकलित हुए !

उस दिन अधिकारी गण के साथ आये हुए मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट के प्रबंधक श्री कौशल सत्यार्थी मेरी बातों और कार्य प्रणाली से प्रभावित होकर मुझे अपना विजिटिंग कार्ड देते हुए कहा की बाद में आप संपर्क करना समय मिले तो ! हम साथ मिलकर आगे कुछ और कार्य करेंगे ! मैंने उनके मोबाइल नंबर भी मेरे मोबाइल में सेव किये ! उस औपचारिक निरिक्षण गतिविधि के बाद अधिकारी श्री नवीन कुमार जी और श्री सज्जन चौधरी जी के साथ कौशल सत्यार्थी भी वापस चले गये ! जब तक वे निरिक्षण कर रहे थे मैंने और साथी हस्तशिल्पियों ने भी उनके साथ की तस्वीरें ली जो अब हम सब के लिए एक आधिकारिक दस्तावेज भी है !

2 बजे मुझे भी कोट मोड़ पर मेरे पाइलेट के द्वारा उतारा गया ! आज मुझे कोट मोड़ पर पहली बार डीएम तो नहीं पर उसी तरह की रुट वाली बस मिली जिसने बगरू लाकर मुझे उत्तार दिया ! बगरू से फिर एक बस जिसने मुझे सिंधी केम्प लाकर उतारा और वहाँ से मैं पहुंचा रामा होटल ! रामा होटल में 20 रूपए की चाय के साथ रिपोर्टिंग और उसको साझा करने के कार्य के साथ थोड़ा विश्राम और फिर चित्रण कार्य बाजार से नया काले रंग का जैल पेन और एक स्केचबुक खरीदते हुए किया ! स्केचबुक भी पोलोविक्ट्री एरिया में ड्रॉइंगशीट वाली नहीं मिली पर जो मिली उस से ही काम जारी रखने का मन बनाया ! वैसे भी माध्यम मेरी अभिव्यक्ति का कभी बाधक नहीं बन पाया है !

आज राजहंस के भैरु नाथ भोजनालय में प्रवेश लेने से पूर्व मुझे मेरा जूनियर ( BFA पेंटिंग का विद्यार्थी बीकानेर ) और राजहंस होटल का भावी मालिक मास्टर श्रीराम उपाध्याय टकरा ! हम ने कला और अभिव्यक्ति के साथ नए रचनात्मक कार्य के विषय में लम्बी चर्चा की जो मेरे लिए सुखद अनुभव रहा तो मास्टर श्रीराम उपाध्याय के लिए आत्मजागृति की बातों का ! उस लम्बी कला चर्चा के बाद मैंने भोजन लिया और वापस रामा होटल में आकर सो गया क्यों कि काफी थकान और नींद बाकी थी मेरी आँखों में !

प्रशिक्षण शिविर में अगले दो दिनो के बाद हस्त शिल्पी मास्टर कालू ( लखन नट ) हस्त शिल्पी मास्टर राम स्वरुप ( स्वरूप राम नाथ ) और वरिष्ठ महिला हस्त शिल्पी श्रीमती लाली देवी जी से बात हुई ! चाय के साथ तो कालू बोलै सर क्या मैं फिर से चल पाऊंगा क्या ? तो मैंने उस से दिव्यांग खिलाड़ियों के ओलम्पिक खेलों के वीडियो मोबाइल से साझा किये , उसे दिखाते हुए और कहा की देखो इस दौड़ वाले खेल में कई खिलाड़ी ऐसे है जिनके दोनों पैर नहीं है और वे सरपट दौड़ रहे है ! फिर मैंने मेरे दिलीप चाचा की विडिओ साझा की जिसे मुझे भेजा दिलीप चाचा की छोटी पुत्री मिन्ना ने ! उन वीडियो को देख कर उस युवा में फिर से विश्वास का भाव बना ! मैंने कहा तुम्हारा आर्टिफीसियल पैर डॉक्टर जब कहेगा उसके बाद ही लगेगा ! इस बिच मैंने उसके लिए तुरंत फ़ोन करते हुए मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट के प्रबंधक श्री कौशल सत्यार्थी जी को फोने करते हुए एक बैसाखी मास्टर लखन के लिए उपलध करवाने को कहा ! उन्होंने तुरंत एक्शन लेते हुए कहा की आप मुझे मास्टर लखन की फोटो , उसका विकलांगता का सर्टिफिकेट और आधार की फोटो भिजवाओ मैं एक दो दिन में ही बैसाखी की व्यवस्था करता हूँ ! ये क्रिया देखकर उस कालू का मेरे प्रति और भावनात्मक विश्वास बना उसकी आँखों में मैंने मेरे लिए अति स्नेही भाव उसके मौन के साथ देखा ! मैंने उस से कहा की एक दिन तुम पाइलेट बनकर मुझे कोट मोड़ पर लेने आओगे तुम्हारी ही बाइक पर ! बस हिम्मत , धीरज और मन में विश्वास रखो जीवन के प्रति ! सब ठीक होगा ये तुम्हारा बुरा समय भी गुजर जाएगा !

वहीँ राम स्वरूप नाथ जो एक अच्छे हस्त शिल्पी है और कोट जेवर में पिछले कई बरसों से करीब 15 से 20 वर्ष से ब्लू पॉटरी के लिए बॉटनिक डिज़ाइन कर रहे है ! उस व्यक्ति ने अपनी पीड़ा साझा की ये कहते हुए की सर इस ट्रेनिंग से हमें क्या फायदा है बताओ ? मैं प्रति दिन 15 से 20 नग ( ब्लू पॉटरी उत्पाद ) को ठेके पर काम करते हुए निर्मित करता हूँ और मुझे प्रतिदिन 800 से 1000 रूपए की आमदनी होती है ! अब इस शिविर में 25 दिन मैं वो काम छोड़कर यहाँ सुबह 10 से 2 बजे तक का समय दे रहा हूँ पूरा दिन जिसके मुझे मिलेंगे प्रतिदिन के 300 रूपए कुल 25 दिन के 7500 रूपए ! अब इस से क्या होगा मेरा घर खर्च ही नहीं निकलेगा ! उसने ये भी सुझाव दिया की हस्त शिल्पी को कम से कम उसकी एक दिन की पूरी धियाड़ी ( मजदूरी ) जो की 1000 रूपए है वो मिले तो भी हम मन को इस कार्य में लगाकर इस शिविर से जुड़े ! मैंने उस हस्त शिल्पी में धन से अधिक जीवन की विषमता के स्वर ज्यादा महसूस किये और वे सत्य ही थे !

फिर भी मैंने उस से कहा की इस शिविर का लाभ देखो तो बहुत है पहला की आप सरकारी पंजीकृत हस्त शिल्पी बन गए हो ,साथ ही आप इस कार्य में दक्षता के साथ भविष्य में खुद का भी ब्लू पॉटरी का कार्य शुरू कर सकते हो ! इतना ही नहीं इस शिविर में मेरे द्वारा आप को दी जाने वाली डिज़ाइन की सरल सहज विधि से आप जटिल परंपरागत तरीके से निजात पाते हुए समय की बचत करते हुए अधिक ब्लू पॉटरी के उत्पाद निर्मित करते हुए अधिक धन अर्जित करने की संभावना निर्मित कर सकते हो !

बात चल ही रही थी की वरिष्ठ महिला हस्त शिल्पी श्रीमती लाली देवी जी बोली की सर मेरे पति का खुद का ब्लू पॉटरी का कारखाना था इसी गांव में पर वे अब नहीं रहे सो उनका सारा कार्य बंद हो गया , मेरा 20 वर्ष का लड़का है और में जो थोड़ा बहुत ब्लू पॉटरी का कार्य जानती हूँ उसके अलावा पेंशन पर ही घर चल रहा है बड़ी मुश्किल है ! तो मैंने उन्हें मानव सेवा ट्रस्ट वाले कौशल सत्यार्थी जी का मुझे दिया हुआ विजिटिंग कार्ड थमाते हुए कहा की शिविर के बाद आप इनसे बात करना ये आप के लिए कोई स्थायी आय का रास्ता भी बना देंगे !

उस दिन मौसम भी कुछ बादल वाही और नमी वाला था ! सो प्रशिक्षण शिविर में बने उत्पादों पर ग्लेज की परत चढाने का कार्य भी नहीं हो पा रहा था ! तो मैंने देखा की किस प्रकार मौसम भी इस हस्त कला के कार्य में अड़चने उत्पन करता है ! और ये भी सोचा की इतनी पेचीदगी वाला कार्य है ये , जिसमे मौसम भी अड़चन बनता है तो क्या इस प्रकार की हस्त कला अधिक समय तक टिक पाएगी ? क्यों कि तेज रफ़्तार से भागती आज की जिंदगी और जीवन क्या इतने धीरज को अपने भीतर नयी पीढ़ी के साथ टिकाये रख सकेगा ? ऐसे अनेको प्रश्न को सोचते रहा ! तभी 1 :30 बजे की चाय आयी सभी हस्त शिल्पियों के लिए सो मुझे भी एक कप में आधी प्याली मेरी मांग के हिसाब से मिली चाय मैंने पी और फिर 2 बजे उपस्थिति दर्ज करते हुए मेरे पाइलेट के साथ कोट मोड़ तक आया !

आज मुझे रुट वाली जीप का एक ड्राइवर जो की कोट मोड़ के आगे से बोराज की और जा रहा था , मुझे पहचानते हुए जोर से आवाज देते हुए कहा सर आज मेरे साथ बोराज चलिए बोराज घुम लीजिये वापसी में आप को बगरू उतार दूंगा ! अब इसे क्या कहोगे आप आत्मीय रिस्ता की हसी ठिठोली ! वैसे एक दिन उसकी जीप में बैठे बैठे मैंने उन से पूछा था की किस प्रकार आप के पार पड़ती है इस 10 और 20 रूपए के भाड़े में तो उसने कहा की बस गुजर हो रही है और क्या करे साब !

खेर मुझे एक बाइक सवार में महलां उतारा महला से बगरू अन्य जीप से पहुंचा और फिर बगरू से सीधी सिंधी केम्प के लिए बस मिली और मैं ऐसे करते करते रामा होटल पहुँच चूका था ! अब तक मेरे जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर के 20 दिन पूर्ण हो गए थे !

अगले दिन कोट जेवर पहुंचा तो मास्टर मुकेश प्रजापर क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी के निर्देशन में ग्लेज का घोल बना रहे थे ! उस दिन कुछ धुप भी थी सो ब्लू पॉटरी के उत्पाद को सूखने के लिए धुप और प्रयाप्त हवा भी थी ! जैसे तैसे ग्लेज का कार्य पूर्ण हुआ पर अगली समस्या सामने आयी भट्टी के लिए गैस की टंकी की ! मास्टर मुकेश ने कहा की बिना गैस शिविर में बने उत्पाद कैसे पकेंगे ? तो मैंने कहा हमें भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान के अधिकारी जी को सूचना देनी चाहिए ! मैंने भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान के बने व्हाट्सप्प ग्रुप पर गैस की टंकी की समस्या का जिक्र किया ! जिसे अगले एक दो दिन में अधिकारी श्री धर्मेंद्र सिंह जी द्वारा निपटारा करते हुए भट्टी के लिए गैस की टंकी की व्यवस्था करवादी गयी ! पर इस ईंधन की समस्या के कारण प्रशिक्षण शिविर में निर्मित ब्लू पॉटरी के उत्पाद शिविर के समापन के अगले दिन ही भट्टी के ठण्डा होने के बाद बाहर निकाल सके ! ऐसा मौसमी और ईंधन की बाधा की वजह से हुआ ! पर संतोषजनक बात ये भी थी की भट्टी से वे सारे उत्पाद सही सलामत बहार निकले पकाई होने के बाद जिन्हे हमने उन 25 दिनों में निर्मित किया था ब्लू पॉटरी के प्रशिक्षण शिविर में !

जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर कोटजेवर के समापन का दिन रहा दिनांक 24 मार्च 2026 को , उस दिन भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान से प्रशिक्षण शिविर प्रबंधक ,रश्मि पारीक जी और शिविर संयोजक श्री धर्मेंद्र सिंह के साथ स्कूल ऑफ़ आर्ट्स काठमांडू यूनिवर्सिटी नेपाल के 30 विद्यार्थी भी प्रशिक्षण शिविर के समापन समारोह में शामिल हुए ! उन्होंने ब्लू पॉटरी के निर्माण प्रक्रिया को समझा देखा और अपने हाथ से कुछ उत्पाद को सांचे से ढाला ! उन्हें उत्सुकता थी की जो इस प्रशिक्षण शिविर है ब्लू पॉटरी का काम हुआ है उसे भी देखा जाए ! पर वो गरम भट्टी में बंद था ! सो मैंने मेरे मोबाइल स्क्रीन के माध्यम से उन्हें उन सारे उत्पाद और उसके रचनात्मक निर्माण प्रक्रिया के क्रमवार लिए हुए छाया चित्र दिखाए जिसे देख कर वे प्रभावित भी हुए और उनकी उत्सुकता और बढ़ी !

फिर स्कूल ऑफ़ आर्ट्स, काठमांडू यूनिवर्सिटी नेपाल के दल की संयोजिकाओं ने मुझे और क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी को अपने कॉलेज का लोगो डिज़ाइन उन्ही की कॉलेज में बने की एक एक फ्रेम्ड प्रति हमें दी साथ में एक हैंडमेड नोटबुक और एक पेन भी !

आधिकारिक रूप से जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर कोट जेवर जयपुर 2026 उस दिन पूर्ण हुआ भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान के अधिकारियों की उपस्थिति में ! लेकिन मेरे लिए अभी भी प्रशिक्षण शिविर का कार्य अधूरा था ! जिसे मैंने अगले दिन सुबह 11 बजे कोटजेवर पहुंचकर पूर्ण किया ! दिनांक 25 मार्च को कोट मोड़ से ट्रैक्टर में बैठकर कोटजेवर पहुँचते हुए ! क्योंकि मास्टर मुकेश प्रजापत और मास्टर रामनिवास प्रजापत दोनों में मुझे फ़ोन करते हुए सूचित किया की सर आप आज 11 बजे आ जाना हम भट्टी को 12 बजे खोलेंगे ठंडी होने के बाद !

मैंने उन्हें कहा की जब तक में आप के स्टूडियो नहीं पहुंचू आप भट्टी को खोलना मत ! क्योंकि मैं भट्टी की विंडो ( एक छेद जिस मे से ब्लू पॉटरी के उत्पाद के पकने को बहार से देखा जाता है ) से फोटोग्राफी करना शुरू करूँगा ! ऐसी ही फोटोग्राफी मैंने प्रशिक्षण शिविर में बने उत्पाद को भट्टी में रखते हुए की भी की थी ! उन दोनों ने मेरा इन्तजार किया और मुझे फोटोग्राफी करने का पूरा अवसर मेरे विचार अनुरूप मुझे दिया ! मैंने क्लिक करने आरम्भ किये फोटो के लिए और क्रम वार कोई 50 से 70 फोटो लिए जिसमे एक एक उत्पाद का फोटो लिया मैंने और वे सभी उत्पाद मेरी परिकल्पना के अनुरूप पककर भट्टी से बहार आये थे , उत्साह मैंने क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी चेहरे पर भी देखा तो उनके दोनों पुत्रों के चेहरे पर भी ! वो पल सुखांत अनुभूति वाले रहे मेरे लिए क्योंकि हमने जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर के अंतिम लक्ष को सकुशल पालिया था शिविर में बने सभी उत्पादों के पकने के बाद ! मैंने कुछ आर्टिफीसियल ज्वैलरी के उत्पाद में लाल रेशमी धागा भी पिरोया उसके वास्तविक लुक के लिए और वो भी सही बैठा जैसा मैंने डिज़ाइन किया था जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी के लिए एक सफल प्रयोग साबित हुआ वो आर्टिफीसियल ज्वैलरी का भी !

25 तारीख को मुझे श्री लालाराम प्रजापत जी और उनके दोनों पुत्रों ने अपनी फोर व्हीलर में बिठाते हुए मुझे बगरू तक सीऑफ किया ! मैंने भी उन्हें तहे दिल से आभार और साधुवाद दिया ! साथ ही प्रशिक्षण शिविर के सफलता पूर्वक सम्पन होने के लिए बधाई भी दी ! फिर वहां से सीधा रामा होटल पहुंचा और कुछ विश्राम करते हुए वहां से पहुंचा भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान झालाना जयपुर , मेरे मोबाइल डाटा में संकलित फोटोग्राफ्स को श्री धर्मेंद्र सिंह जी को देने ! भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान में धर्मेंद्र जी ने मेरे पेन ड्राइव से अपने पीसी में 2 जीबि डाटा फोटो इमेज के रूप में ट्रांसफर किया और मुझे धन्यवाद देते हुए भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान से जुड़े रहने की बात कही !

भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान में प्रथम बार प्रवेश लेकर इस ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर के कार्य को हाथ में लिया था और 25 मार्च 2026 को भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान में ब्लू पॉटरी प्रशिक्षण शिविर के पूर्ण होने के फोटो डाटा को भारतीय शिल्प संस्थान के पीसी में ट्रांसफर करते हुए वहाँ से बहार निकलते हुए मैंने जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी के प्रशिक्षण शिविर के कार्य पूर्ण कर दिया था ! अब मैं राष्ट्रीय रचनाकार / नेशनल डिज़ाइनर वस्त्र मंत्रालय /भारत सरकार का आधिकारिक रूप से बन गया था अपने प्रतिबद्ध प्रयासों से अपने समर्पित भाव से ! राष्ट्र निर्माण के कार्य में अपना निष्ठां पूर्ण योगदान एक राष्ट्र सेवक के रूप में देते हुए ! जय हिन्द !

अगली सुबह मैंने बीकानेर के लिए बस की टिकट बुक करवाई और दोपहर 3 बजे बस में बैठा ! उस से पहले मैंने एक मुलाकात जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी के क्राफ्ट मास्टर श्री अनिल दोराया जी से भी करनी उचित समझी ! सो 11 बजे से करीब 1 बजे तक मैं उनके आमेर रोड स्थित जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी आर्ट सेण्टर वाले शोरूम पहुंचा ! उनसे आत्मीय संवाद और अनतरंग अनुभव का आदान प्रदान किया ! आपने मुझे बताया की मैं आप की प्रतिदिन कोटजेवर की रिपोर्टिंग देखता रहा हूँ मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगा की आप ने वहाँ जाकर ये कार्य किया ! अनिल दोराया जी के परिवार की 9 वी पीढ़ी इस ब्लू पॉटरी के कार्य में व्यस्त है और उनके परिवार का एक बच्चा विज्ञानं विषय में टॉपर होकर फिर से अपने पुश्तैनी काम जयपुर ब्लू पॉटरी के कार्य में जुड़ गया है ! आप ने मुझे पुत्र तुल्य समझते हुए अपार स्नेह भी दिया और आशीर्वाद भी ! साथ ही आप ने मुझे अपने साथ भोजन पर भी आमंत्रित किया तो मैंने उनके निमंत्रण को फिर कभी स्वीकारने का कहकर उसने विदा ली और बीकानेर के लिए लगी निर्धारित समय पर चलने वाली बस पकड़ते हुए बीकानेर और फिर घर पहुंचा दिनाक 26 मार्च 2026 को रात्रि 11 बजे !

इस प्रकार "कोट जेवर गाँव " यात्रा वृतांत पूर्ण हुआ ! लिखने और कहने को और भी बहुत कुछ शेष रहा है जिसे फिर कभी साझा करने की कोशिश करूँगा ! अभी अगली यात्रा पर निकल रहा हूँ आज रात को। . जीवन कही यायावर तो नहीं हो रहा दोस्तों ? बताना !
