Art is not require to Degree and diploma but art need full time research on subject of art . that is painting, sculpture, Music, performing art and folk / traditional art .

Here I want to clear for you about traditional art , traditional word come from trade , this trade connect to market or market demand , so on this demand of market artist is repeat same work again and again . then it come in trade form .for easy definition , we are calling to it traditional art . for society it is traditional art or for artist it is a easy way of income . overall this traditional art is creating a easy and comfort zone for collectors or artists too.

We know Artist of Ajanta and other caves painting artists were not went in any academic art collage or art institute , but their seniors and family members were their art teachers and guides for their art practice. They were not reading any art book but they were learning practically after visit to work process of his /her seniors at Ajanta caves or other caves . that was live and open institute for them or they all were working there like a art researchers. Am I right or not ,tell me ?

In only Ajanta caves , seven generations were worked and they were created classical Indian art form in caves or out side of caves . That was in demand by leader or GURU of Boudh Dharma or Jain Dharma . so 10 to 16^th century lots of Artists were worked in a one trade today we are calling to that traditional art. It is acceptable view .

When Ajanta art ( trade ) traditional art was damaging by Mughals in that time many artists were leaved to art work like Ajanta Style ( trade work ) . They were changed to name and style of Ajanta and destroy to self and went in small cities of India for live and survive with art work .

They were knew only art work can tool of survive to life . So in care of them many kings and rich persons of INDIA were protected them and gave space to them in their city and villages .

Its big example is in my city Bikaner . here Matheran art ( painting ) it was came in Bikaner when Bikaner was founded by King of Bikaner MAHARAJA RAO BIKAJI , he came from Marwad field or with him this matheran artist family came to Bikaner . This matheran artist family was decorated to Fort of Bikaner, temple and house / Havelies of rich persons of Bikaner . here in Bikaner the Matheran artist family were safe and secured so they could created some good art works in form of wall painting, Gangour painting, pana painting ( picture of Hindu Gods ) and some nature and wild life painting in semi art form of Ajanta .

Today here in Bikaner Matheran Art is a traditional art form . Because it has completed near 535 years in Bikaner or it is in demand of peoples on special festival occasions, like Holi festival , Deepawali festival , Janmashtmi festival , Gangour festival, Teej Ferstival , Rakshabandhan festival and some more festival of Bikianer .

Because in very cheap cost people can bye to picture of gods from the road in digital print format . it is critical but it is . rich persons need fast work in home decoration so they are pasting to wall paper in room and on wall of home , or king family has convert to life style so they are going to far to art protection activity .

In this condition matheran art and that’s artists are in handicapped condition . but they are very strong and committed for their art practice. In this Critical time they are not in mood of change to this matheran painting job. They know in market their work demand is very low but their confidence is very high for this matheran art. They are living to it in their self. they think this art is their real property .Because their four fathers were started it or that’ was Ajanta . The idle work of Asian art or this Ajanta is in list of seven wonders of Asia.

I am very close to one matheran artist sir / master Mulchand mahatma Bikaner, his birth place is Bikaner and his birth year is 1965 . for Matheran painting education he was not went to any art institute , he was learned matheran painting work from his father in his family and after pass to 8^th class he joined to his family work that was matheran painting job.

Sir Mulchand mahatma has completed 45 to 47 years art journey with his own matheran painting job. In this art journey he painted many temples of Bikaner and out of Bikaner , he painted many pictures of Hindu gods on small or big size paper, he painted many walls of rich persons homes or Haveli’s . he painted many wooden sculptures of Gangour , Ishar and Bhaiya . in painting subject of Mulchand mahatma you will see to wild life, hindu gods and sky, clouds , rain and lights in sky . many stories of hindu gods .

In art education or in academic art education Sir Mulchand mahatma is not registered but many registered art researchers and phd holders are trying to get his / her registration for academic art education on matheran art .. it is very special talk for master Mulchand mahatma . many researcher are doing research on Matheran art . in that case they are trying to catch to sir Mulchand mahatma for get some right guideline about their research on matheran art and master Mulchand mahatma is giving his full support to them as a guide or as a art teacher . it is surprising achievement for matheran art or that’s artists.

In Bikaner senior art historian master late great Krishanchandra Sharma was wrote a book on matheran art tile MATHERAN KALAM or Dr. Rakesh Kiradu ( proff. Maharaja Ganga Singh Univarsity Bikaner painting Department ) , Dr. Rajnish Harsh ( secretary of Rajasthan lalit Kala academy ) and Dr. Mohan Choudhary ( Former proff. B.J. S. Rampuriya jain collage Bikaner ) have been completed to PHD on Matheran art with help of Master Mulchand mahatma .

It is time joke master Mulchand mahatma can’t mention to Doctor before his name but his art students are mentioning doctor before his name .

Now time has come for start a new job for matheran art . today matheran art need a museum and a matheran art institute center in Bikaner just like Art center of madhubani painting of Bihar . it can possible when we think for protect to this traditional art form its title is matheran art . Because many matheran artists families are living and surviving to life in ciritical condition by this matheran art in Bikaner. Or it is inspiring to art students or to art researchers , many art researchers are doing work and study on it or they want a proper art center of matheran art os it is very must for art researchers of matheran Art.. We know master Mulchand mahatma will not available for each one art students and researchers as a open institute. so it is our duty we give more life to this matheran art . we know it is a branch of Ajanta art. When we protect to matheran art we will care itself to Ajanta art. At present we have a art master of matheran Art in Bikaner his name is Mulchand mahatma ( open art institute of Matheran Art )
